Mary Hassanpour is a visual artist born in Iran. pursued her education in Graphic Design in her home country. Since 2016, she has been residing and working in Vienna, Austria. In 2023, she commenced her studies in the Contextual Painting class at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Alice Creischer and Andreas Siekmann. She has actively participated in numerous group exhibitions in both Iran and Austria to date.

Mary delves into the complexity of human emotions, encompassing joy and sorrow with a touch of humor, and the cathartic process of letting go. Utilizing a diverse array of mediums such as oil pastels, pencils, acrylics, etc she weaves feminist ideologies into her work, often featuring the female form to express her identity as a woman.
